CPI Report: Inflation & Interest Rate Cuts
Poppy's keeping an eye on inflation trends and how they're nudging towards the Federal Reserve's 2% target. This Tuesday, we'll get a peek at wholesale inflation, followed by the closely observed Consumer Price Index (CPI) on Wednesday morning. These figures are more than just numbers—they could sway market dynamics and influence the Fed's next moves.
As we edge closer to the Fed's meeting on January 29, 2025, these inflation reports are key. They'll help determine if the Fed sticks to its plan of gently lowering interest rates, in line with recent economic signals.
🌍 Key Events: What’s on the horizon that might make your wallets tremble or triumph?
California Wildfires: What a tragedy— affecting countless lives, homes, and cherished memories.
Unfortunately, it reminds us of the quote: “Never let a crisis go to waste”, by exploring potential strategic investment opportunities like those in water resources, spurred by insights like Michael Burry's (he predicted the 2008 housing market and financial collapse) by his next focus on water as a vital asset in "The Big Short."
The Invesco S&P Global Water Index ETF (NYSE: CGW) is particularly interesting and considered one of the best ETF’s to invest in if you want exposure to water-related companies. CGW tracks the S&P Global Water Index.
Poppy said Conspiracy Theorists on TikTok are suggesting potential ‘rezoning’ in fire-damaged areas could shift residential spaces to commercial, reshaping housing dynamics and community structures.
Does this align with their agenda of “You will own nothing and be happy?”
🔥 Crypto Corner: The latest in crypto— who’s hot, who’s not, and why you should care.
Poppy's forecast suggests keeping your head down while navigating through uncertain markets until the Trump inauguration on January 20th. If the transition goes smoothly, we anticipate a bullish phase for cryptocurrencies, potentially kicking off an altcoin season.
Poppy is keeping an eye on Bitcoin, noting that staying above the $90,000 mark is crucial, but a dip below $85,000 could be concerning. Our past newsletters have prepared you for this kind of volatility, focusing on strategic planning, preparation, and execution during market corrections and accumulation phases.
Bitcoin Performance
The current Crypto Fear and Greed Index is at 47, indicating a neutral market sentiment. This measure reflects the emotions and sentiments of crypto investors, where a lower score signals fear (potential undervaluation) and a higher score indicates greed (potential overvaluation). The value of 47 suggests that the market is in a balanced state, neither too fearful nor overly greedy. Poppy told me to tell you, “stay calm, cool and collected.”

Market Correction?
Poppy anticipates of a potential market correction due to a combination of factors, but most importantly due to recent growth in Treasury Yields.
What does this mean? This is the interest rate that the U.S. government pays investors who buy its bonds. Think of it as the profit you earn for lending money to the government.
🌐 Global Watch: What’s happening around the globe that could send ripples across the markets.
Poppy is closely monitoring developments in the Middle East due to ongoing tensions. Recent incidents, including bombings in Yemen, are part of these concerns. Such events could potentially influence global markets as geopolitical tensions often do, by affecting oil prices and investor confidence worldwide.
This Vol 1 is just a little warm up!
